Contemporary Lettering for a Packaging Concept
For this self initiated project, I decided to explore a set of letter designs that expressed a clean, contemporary style. Inspired by farmers’ markets I'd visited in Sydney, I decided to produce some typographic labelling for flavoured vinegars and an oil.
The letters were first sketched in pencil to explore various concepts and shapes. Then each letter was redrawn in Glyphs (type design software) and decorated in Illustrator. The designs make vague references to manuscript design, Mexican sugar skulls and photos from a recent trip to Indonesia.
